PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER (2010-04-01 14:09:34)

We are seeking a Project Controls Manager for a full-time direct position located in Houston, TX.
Job Description:
The purpose of the position is to assist the assigned Project Manager in the management and coordination of the details encompassing all aspects of Company projects including commercial, technical, fabrication and schedule from after sales project handover by the Marketing Group, to final invoicing and administrating of project guarantees, in such a manner (cost control) as to maximize revenue to Company, whilst providing value and quality products and services to the customer.
This position requires a high level of working knowledge of shipyard, fabrication and machine shop practices, and offshore installation activities.
Further it requires the skills, experience and knowledge to develop liaisons, negotiate execute and administer contracts, and generally work with international customers and fabrication facilities.
Requirements:
Experienced professional with 12 years relevant experience in managing large EPC projects. Should have managed different, but related processes, within complicated projects.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for project budget both in controlling in-house man-hours and outside expenditures, including purchasing third party goods and services (utilizing the cost control department).
- Responsible for developing and controlling project schedules to ensure timely completion of project milestones, and timely project progress payments to ensure satisfactory cash flow (utilizing the assigned planners and cost controller).
- Responsible for project administration, including being the designated project contact point for all liaisons with Company’s customer and with all subcontractors.
- Responsible for directing timely and cost effective vendor purchases and the timely shipping of all vendor items to job site (utilizing the Purchasing Department).
- Responsible for contracting (international) subcontractors (shipyards and offshore contractors) for construction and installation activities, directing and administrating the execution of those contracts, and directing the activities of the Company site supervisor at the shipyard or installation supervisor at the installation site.
- Responsible for schedule and cost control of project engineering activities to ensure timely completion of drawings and specifications, as well as resolution of technical inquiries from the field (fabrication or installation site).
- Responsible to ensure all QA/QC aspects of the works, including engineering, third party review/monitoring, documentation requirements including material certificates, NDT certificates, as built documentation, are followed and complete in accordance with Company Group's Q.A. manual, standard instructions, and project specific requirements.

SR. DRILLING ENGINEER (2010-04-01 13:00:23)
Location: Austin, TX
We are currently seeking a Sr. Drilling Engineer for a full-time direct position located in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a one to three drilling rig program with quarterly trips to the field
- Troubleshoot daily drilling issues; work with consultants and drilling superintendent to remedy problems
- Evaluate and implement new drilling practices and technologies to improve rig performance and safety
- Review and approve expenditures for rig activities and make recommendations to reduce costs and enhance efficiencies
- Prepare economics, pre-spud drilling package and post job wellbore diagrams
- Work with safety coordinator to improve and maintain a safe working environment on each rig
- Maintain and active presence in industry associations such as SPE, AADE, etc.
Experience and skills required:
- BS in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 10 years in the petroleum industry with drilling and/or completion experience.
- Fundamental understanding of drilling rigs and horizontal drilling with experience in the Mid Continent is a strong plus.

RESERVOIR ENGINEERS (2010-02-11 11:01:43)

Job Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate technical and economic merits, recommend and execute on oil and gas investment opportunities.
- Conduct internal reserve and economic evaluation of acquisition, drilling, recompletion, and work over opportunities utilizing appropriate economic and engineering applications.
- Develop and ensure timely execution of field exploitation plans for existing assets.
- Utilize surveillance tools to monitor production and injection performance; make recommendations as necessary to maximize value/efficiency.
- Recommend necessary cased hole logs and/or surveys to monitor production and assist in recomplete/work over/flow optimization recommendations.
- Complete budgeting, forecasting, and reserve/economic analysis for year-end reserve reporting on existing assets.
- Leadership role in the development and implementation of growth strategies.
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Engineering (Preferably Petroleum Engineering).
- Minimum of five years of recent industry experience in Reservoir Engineering.
- Expertise in the exploration process in a growth oriented environment.
- Experience in West Texas and/or South Texas operations.

PRODUCTION FACILITIES ENGINEER (2010-02-11 10:55:41)
Location: Houston, TX
Job Description:
- Interface and coordinate activities with multiple Ops & Production groups and teams within the company.
- Design and implement upstream facilities; lead/participate in studies that impact upstream facilities.
- Perform full cycle scoping, preliminary design, cost estimating, economic analysis, and evaluation of production facilities and other systems that impact production facilities.
- Assist other groups and teams within the company as needed.
- Assist the Production Facilities Manager in preparing budget data, evaluating financial information, preparing business evaluations, and preparing technical evaluations for upper management presentations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering + min 10 yrs exp in upstream onshore production facility, piping design & construction activities required.
- Experience with low pressure gas, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, water, and sand production.
- Experience in creating block flow diagrams, P&IDs, MFDs, data sheets, and specifications.
- Experience with separation, compression, sweetening, water handling, SCADA, electric power, chemical injection, metering, instrumentation, and HAZOP/HAZID systems.
- Experience with flow calculations.
- Packaging experience with production facilities.
- Experience with “green” facilities environmental sensitivities.
- Previous site layout design w/emphasis on spill and erosion control.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Processing experience, experience with HYSIS, ability to create drawings in AutoCAD and prior supervisory experience w/proven leadership skills are pluses.
