Proposals Engineer (2011-08-26 10:55:35)
Location: Houston, TX
Purpose: Lead and direct the timely production of professional quality bids for project rig packages. Must maintain high standards at all times relative to the production of project rig package proposals.
Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of and drive rig package proposal projects
o Identify and understand what customers need relative to rig package projects
o Communicate with and understand the needs of company's worldwide sales staff
o Develop action plan for construction of rig package proposals
o Identify resources and delegate responsibilities to various work groups and external vendors
o Lead and direct technical meetings and discussions
o Account for all costs and delivery times associated with rig packages
o Work with management to determine commercial aspects of rig packages
o Assemble and verify accuracy of complete proposal
• Understand and improve internal processes
Basic Competency Requirements:
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite general is a must
• Technical aptitude demonstrated by Engineering or similar technical degree and/or practical experience related to onshore or offshore drilling rigs and equipment.
• Strong background in company products and sales/engineering internal processes

Account Manager (2011-08-26 10:51:24)
Location: Houston, TX
Position Summary
Sells the organization’s products, elastomer, phenolic and turnkey products to oilfield service companies by contacting established customers and developing new prospects.
Essential Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of new and existing accounts including:
o Developing sales plans and strategies for new business
o Service existing business and lead relationship activities
o Develop new accounts
o Develop new business in existing accounts
o Develop long term relationships with all customers
• Project manage new complex products with Microsoft project and coordinate activities with all departments.
• Through market research, cold calls, customer contact and other means, identify the sales opportunities for GP&C product line.
• Function as Project Manager when customer has a need for a liaison between, engineering, quality and production.
• Establish close contact with customer’s Engineers and Purchasing professional to determine customer needs, and position the Company to satisfy those needs.
• Review drawings, specifications and other customer requirements to prepare RFPs and specifications received from customers/prospects and prepare sales input into bid. Drive to submitting quote.
• Develop and give customer presentations and demonstrations of products.
• Recommend new product based upon customer needs, market feedback and increased sales potential.
• Monitor the competition and reports actions and trends to management.
• Prepare periodic reports and regularly updates database showing sales volume, potential sales and status of active pursuits.
• Respond to incoming sales calls

Onshore Pipeline Engineer (2011-08-26 10:49:55)
Location: Houston, TX
SUMMARY
Functions as a senior technical specialist responsible for the efficient design and technical execution involved in providing Engineering support to Business Development group and project teams. Works under limited supervision. May serve as a lead over a group of Engineers.
Requirements:
: 10+ years of experience in engineering discipline including:
: Onshore oil and gas pipelines (domestic or international) including route selection
: River and water body crossings
: Understanding of hydraulic calculations and modeling experience utilizing both transient and steady state modeling techniques a plus
: Pipe stress analysis and hydrostatic testing requirements
: Operational experience with compressors and pipeline systems and HDD experience a plus
: BS in Engineering required. Mechanical or Civil discipline preferred. Professional Engineering licensure is preferred but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT THE JOB
: Detailed knowledge pipeline design, and general knowledge of related disciplines.

Reviews, integrates and monitors the detailed construction schedules prepared by the construction contractors to ensure that the project schedule requirements are met.
During construction, monitors the work to ensure that it is conducted in accordance with the project and company HSSE policies, project plans, procedures and requirements, industry codes and standards, and the applicable federal, state and local permits, regulations, laws, etc.
Ensures that all project documentation prepared and submitted by the contractor is in accordance with the project requirements. In addition, ensures that all company site team documentation is prepared and submitted in accordance with project requirements.
Sets up and has a lead role in the regular status meetings, including weekly progress meetings with contractor's representative and key personnel. Reports on the HSSE, progress, quality and budget of the construction works.
Leads in the resolution of field discrepancies and/or problems concerning vendors, engineering, government regulatory agencies, quality control deficiencies, defective work and deficient reports.
Leads preparation of periodic updates of construction risk register.
Leads evaluation of potential field change-orders and makes recommendation to management.

Thorough understanding of conceptual design, front end engineering design, engineering analysis and detailed design.
Thorough understanding of engineering techniques and practices. Understanding of engineering responsibilities on project reporting.

Main Activities:

Resolves budget, schedule and quality issues with engineering suppliers and subcontractors.
Participates in the design change control and technical query process within the project.
Supports the Project Manager on responses to customer technical inquiries.
Prepares technical data, presentations and papers for sales, project team and customers.
Supports more senior staff in negotiations with clients regarding out-of-scope issues. Ensures internal and external staff is provided with timely and accurate engineering information and status updates.
Provides technical support in contract negotiations.
Develops monthly forecasting of the engineering resources (internal and external if required) to support project plans.
Schedules internal and external resources (where needed).
Defines technology, equipment, instrumentation and systems needs in assigned area and ensures that staff has adequate resources to effectively meet department and individual objectives. Assists in the requisition / approval process and acquisition of new or upgraded capital equipment, systems and software.
